Spelman’s Master Class Series is designed to bring exposure, insight, and a behind-the-scenes look into various careers, professional skills, and aspects of overall wellness needed to succeed in today’s world.
From entertainment and sports to beauty and technology, these expert-led classes give Spelmanites a competitive edge, where they can learn more about entering and flourishing in their chosen career paths.
The series is part of the Spelman Pathways Program, the transformative effort designed to improve employment outcomes for graduates. Through the Spelman College Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) under Spelman Pathways, students are given the roadmap and tools to channel their ambition and hard work.
Designed specifically to build student leadership and career readiness, the goal of the program is to prepare students for success as they approach and negotiate the world beyond their undergraduate experience.
Each class is led by industry experts and professionals in the form of panels, small-group discussions, and/or activities to give Spelman students the opportunity to ask burning questions, hear from the experts, and learn more about internships and pathways into their respective industry.

Women in Sports Master Class | Thursday, March 21, 2024, from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.
Join us for a panel discussion and networking event on Tuesday, March 21, from 6-8 p.m., to explore roles in collegiate athletics, professional sports and entertainment with leaders across the industries.
Previous Spelman Pathways Women in Sports Master Class panelists include experts from organizations such as: Ashley S. Green Consulting, the Atlanta Dream, National Basketball Association, The Playbook, the National Football League, Overtime, Warner Brothers, WRK and Spelman College. The event will take place in the Manley Student Center Atrium.
BROWN GIRL Jane and The Fragrance Foundation (TFF) Master Class | Tuesday, March 26, 2024, from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
The Fragrance Foundation (TFF) will join BROWN GIRL Jane to present a Master Class. Brown Girl Jane, an award-winning fine fragrance brand anchored in heritage, wanderlust, and exceptional artistry, comprises three Spelmanites – Malaika Jones, Tai Beauchamp, and Nia Jones. The three Spelman alumnae will join Sharné Jackson, Spelman alumna and executive director of TFF, for a special convocation.
The event will begin at 11 a.m. and will be followed by a meet, greet, and networking event in the Suites Private Dining Room at noon. Linda Levy will also join us for the event and will be featured on Good Day Atlanta that morning, interviewing about Fragrance Day, which will be held March 21, 2024, at Spelman.
