How to Submit an Application

The admissions application for Fall 2025 will open on August 1, 2024. Test Optional Policy: Spelman College will suspend the standardized testing requirement for students applying for the class of 2028. This policy applies to all new first-time application cycles, including early decision, early notification and regular decision.

Making Applying to College Easier

The Common Application is a standardized undergraduate college application form that is accepted at more than 500 accredited, independent colleges and universities nationwide. You may access the application by going to Common App.

The Common Application looks similar to most college applications, with all the usual fields for name, address, school and test data, as well as questions about your work experience and volunteer activities.
