What is College-Sponsored Housing?

College-Sponsored Housing includes a variety of off-campus housing properties guaranteed by Spelman College for our students. For the 2024-2025 academic year, Spelman College offers College-Sponsored housing at Gammon Hall, Talbot Hall, the Mix and Westmar Lofts.  

They are College-Sponsored because the students’ selection experience will be similar to an on-campus residence hall, the College guarantees the payment, and charges for these spaces can be included on the student’s account, as opposed to the student paying monthly rent directly to the property. Specifically, these properties are listed on the housing portal and students accept these assignments through the Housing Selection. A student’s financial aid award will be directly applied toward the cost of housing.

Gammon Hall

Gammon is located just minutes from beautiful downtown Atlanta, and is well maintained and secure for all students to feel safe while getting their education. Gammon Theological Seminary is located on the campus of the Interdenominational Theological Center. It provides housing for students enrolled at one of the Atlanta University Center Schools.

Talbot Hall

Talbot Hall at The Turner Theological Seminary College is located next to Morris Brown College. It offers security cameras, an in-house security team, WI-FI, pest control services, professional cleaning services for common areas, mailbox/mailroom service, private meeting rooms and study areas, free laundry room,  elevator services, parking, deli area, and more. Westmar Lofts

At Westmar Student Lofts' student housing you have the option to choose from a standard, luxury, or elite apartment. Westmar has 2, 3, and 4 bedroom student apartments. Each apartment features a private bedroom, private bathroom, washer and dryer, and full kitchen.

The Mix

The Mix’s student apartments are located near the Georgia State University and are fully furnished, ranging from one to four bedrooms. Apartment amenities include private bedrooms and bathrooms, fully furnished, washer & dryer, stainless steel appliances, keyless entry, granite countertops, kitchens, high-speed wireless and wired internet, and more.
